Chris Gollner Selected as Principal of Denton Creek Elementary

Chris GollnerDuring the June 6 Board Workshop, CISD Trustees approved Chris Gollner as the new Principal of Denton Creek Elementary. 

Gollner has worked in CISD for almost the entirety of his educational career, including teaching science at CMS East and serving as the Assistant Principal at Cottonwood Creek Elementary, prior to moving to his current role as an Assistant Principal at Coppell High School. He also served as a CISD Summer School Principal for several years. 

Gollner received his Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas State University and his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. Gollner and his wife, Aria, have a son, Grant, and a daughter, Dylan, and live in Coppell. 

“Mr. Gollner is a dynamic, personable and energetic leader, who has a passion to serve students, teachers and staff, and families,” said CISD Superintendent Dr. Brad Hunt. “He also brings a depth of experience and commitment to our children and their educational experience. I know he will be a great leader and principal at Denton Creek Elementary.” 

Gollner said, “I am thrilled to join the team of excellent educators and amazing students and families at Denton Creek Elementary.  As a Dual Language Immersion Campus, Denton Creek has a unique position in the district, and I look forward to continuing the success of that program and the entire Denton Creek community, as we learn, grow and thrive together.”
