For all absences

Absence notes should be turned into the office within 3 days of the student returning to campus from being absent. 

Notes must include the following:

• current date
• student’s first and last name
• student’s ID number
• date(s) of absence
• reason for absence
• parent/guardian signature

*Notes from a medical professional are accepted in lieu of a parent note.

**An additional parent note will be required for any days not specifically covered by the medical note.

***Absences of 5 or more consecutive school days because of illness require a note from a medical professional.

Please be aware that phone calls are not accepted as documentation for absences. Parents are welcome to give a courtesy call to the attendance clerk to report an absence, but a note will be required upon the student’s return to school. Emails are accepted in certain circumstances, however, please do not email photos of notes, including doctor’s notes. Please send the original to school with your child to turn into the office.

Early Release:

If you need to pick up your child early from school, please call or email and let us know what time you will arrive. We will call your student down to the office and you will come inside and sign them out. Giving us notice of the pick up time will expedite the process for you!

Students who need to leave before the end of the school day must be signed out in the office by a parent/guardian. A current government issued ID is required to pick up a student.

End of the day pick-ups will be accommodated; however, our parking lot and car line fill up quickly making it difficult to park, come inside, and leave. We recommend you come by 3:00 p.m. for any afternoon appointments.

A note is needed any time a student misses ANY part of the school day.
