CISD will use built-in extra instructional minutes to make up for the district’s closings from Jan. 31 to Feb. 3 due to winter weather. Since CISD does not have enough extra minutes to make up for the early release on Monday, Jan. 30, Friday, March 10 will no longer be an early release day for the district and will instead be a regular school day.

Therefore, Monday, Feb. 20 remains a Bad Weather day holiday for the district. There will be no school for students and staff, and CISD administrative offices will be closed that day. Friday, Feb. 17, remains a Professional Development Day/staff work day and student holiday. The Bad Weather holiday on Friday, April 7, 2023, will also remain a Bad Weather Day holiday, should no additional school closures be needed this semester due to weather.
