Valley Ranch Elementary School Counselor

Welcome to Valley Ranch. I am the school counselor, also known as the Social and Emotional Learning Coach. My primary role is to support the social and emotional learning needs of our learners and educators. The five components of social and emotional learning are:

Self Awareness (Recognizing one's emotions and values as well as one's strengths and challenges)

Responsible Decision Making (Making ethical, constructive choices about personal and social behavior)

Relationship Skills (Forming positive relationships, working in teams, and dealing effectively with conflict)

Social Awareness (Showing understanding and empathy for others)

Self Management (Managing emotions and behaviors to achieve one's goals)
