Welcome to 1C at VRE!

I was born in Dallas, Texas.  My husband Mike and I have lived in Coppell since 1989.  We have 2 adult children, Meredith (who is married to Jason), and Andrew.  Meredith is a teacher, too.  Andrew is a recent graduate of Oklahoma State University.  Mike and I have a "baby" at home...our dog, Tucker (a West Highland White Terrier).  He is my little "shadow" and follows me everywhere when I'm home. In my free time, I love to read historical fiction, ride my bike, do Pilates, Spin or TRX classes at the CORE in Coppell, take walks with Mike and Tucker, travel to Colorado or the beach with friends, and spend time laughing with and hugging on my children.

I graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.  Sic 'em Bears!  I have been a public school teacher for 16 years, and have over 20 years experience in early childhood education.  I am certified in General Education, Special Education and ESL. I really love teaching young learners to read and enjoy books!  I love the joy and enthusiasm of little children, and I consider it a privilege to be such an important part of their lives. 

My office hours are M/W/F 7:10-7:40 am, and T/Th 3:05-3:35.  You can email me during the school day with questions and concerns, but I likely won't reply until my office hours.  If you contact me after the end of the school day, you may not have a reply until the next school day.
