I received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi in 1989. Later, I completed work towards a Masters of Art in Teaching at the University of Memphis. I became a licensed educator in Texas in 2000. I taught fifth grade in CISD for nineteen years, before accepting a challenging new position as Lakeside's Gifted and Talented Intervention Specialist. In this role, I assist educators' efforts to differentiate instruction when learners demonstrate needs for academic extensions and/or enrichment opportunities. I am passionate about helping all learners become Great Thinkers at Lakeside Elementary!
My schedule is flexible to meet the ever-changing needs of Lakeside's Grade K-5 classrooms.
