I was born and raised in Oklahoma, and graduated from The University of Oklahoma in 2000 (Go Sooners!). Shortly after that, I moved to Texas. I started teaching 4th grade at Mockingbird in 2001, and I have been here ever since. This will be my fifth year in 5th grade, and I am very excited to see what this year has in store!

I strive to have my students learn to be responsible and think for themselves, become problem solvers, learn to work collaboratively with others, recognize their academic strengths, as well as their needs, and to be self-motivated to set goals for improvement. My hope is that they leave each day doing something better than they did the day before-and recognizing it!
